USA Hockey Equipment Requirements

Please note, for the 26/27 season, Minnesota Hockey is requiring that all players at the 10U level and older must wear a non-white, non-clear TETHERED mouthguard while on the ice.

FAQ for 2026-2027 Season Jersey Order

When are the Travel Level (10U, 12U, and 15U) jerseys available to order?

The Spartacats Committee is currently organizing the details of a new jersey program and will communicate details soon. If you are new to the association and/or missed the order window, please contact a level coordinator directly.

How will the jersey numbers be assigned?

Every other year (1st year or 2nd year) will be assigned even or odd numbered jerseys ensuring that there are no duplicate numbers in any given level in any given year.

**If you are a new second year 10U, 12U or 15U player, you'll need to reach out to the Spartacats Committee to receive a list of available jersey numbers to choose from. 

This year's selection is as follows:

ODD Numbers: First year 10U, 12U and 15U for 2026-2027 season

EVEN Numbers: Second year 10U, 12U and 15U for 2026-2027 season

What if I have a returning player that needs a new jersey?

For the 2026-2027 season, ALL players (returning and new) will receive a new set of jerseys at the travel levels.

Do I have to order socks?

Every player will receive new socks as socks will be ordered in bulk again this year. Socks will be available for pick-up at the preseason tryout clinics to ensure all players have fresh socks for tryouts. If you miss a clinic, socks will be available at tryouts and/or via team managers at the start of the season. 

When will the jerseys be available?

The jerseys and socks will be available before the players first season game, if not before.  

Royal Blue Equipment for Traveling Teams

Spartacats traveling team players are urged to have royal blue helmets, breezers or shells, and gloves for the season.

CCM and Warrior offer royal blue gear. In 2022, Bauer discontinued the royal blue color. Bauer's new "Toronto Blue" helmets will be fine to use.

Play-IT-Again sports in Eagan is a place to check for royal blue gear. There are many local online vendors to locate gear for the season--along with Pure Hockey and Dicks Sporting Goods.
